SPECIALTIES
My core philosophy centers around holistic well-being, with a dedicated focus on three key demographics:
1. Eating Disorders: I approach eating disorder care with deep compassion and a trauma-informed lens. I practice from a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) framework, which affirms that health is not determined by weight and that all bodies are worthy of respect and care. I also incorporate Intuitive Eating, a non-diet, evidence-based approach that helps individuals reconnect with their body’s internal cues and develop a peaceful relationship with food. Recovery is not linear, and I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel seen, safe, and empowered as they move toward trust, flexibility, and healing.
2. Food Sensitivities: Navigating food sensitivities can be confusing and isolating, but it doesn’t have to mean restriction or fear. I work with clients to identify and manage symptoms in a way that feels sustainable and supportive. I’m currently working toward becoming a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT), which will allow me to conduct MRT (Mediator Release Testing) for food and chemical sensitivities. This functional approach can be helpful for individuals struggling with chronic inflammation, IBS, migraines, fibromyalgia, and other sensitivity-related conditions. My goal is to help clients feel better without compromising their relationship with food.
3. Healthy Habits in Kids and Young Adults: I am passionate about building strong foundations for well-being in the younger generations. I specialize in cultivating healthy habits in children, teenagers, and young adults. Recognizing the significance of instilling wellness from a young age, I offer tailored strategies to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and emotional well-being. My holistic approach creates a nurturing environment where young minds can flourish, setting them on a path to a lifetime of wellness and balance.
While my specializations in women's health, chronic illness, and young people are a focal point of my practice, they by no means limit my ability to care for and treat individuals who may not fall directly into these categories. In fact, my commitment to these specialties has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges and intricacies involved, which benefits everyone. These tools that can be applied universally to help individuals from all walks of life. I recognize that every person's wellness journey is unique, and my specialized knowledge allows me to provide even more personalized and effective care.
